11/6/10 - O'Connor Design appointed to nursing home project
We are delighted to announce that we have recently been appointed as consulting engineers to a
new 90-bed nursing home in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The building will be 3 storeys over part basement
and will be fast-tracked for completion by June 2011.

May 2010 - 'The Last Furlong'
Following on from our work on the new Steven Soderbergh film, Knockout, we have been asked to work
on another film called 'The Last Stand' shooting in Wicklow and Meath this month. We will be assessing
several temporary structures and parts of an old castle for use by the cast and crew.
12/2/10 - Knockout!
Our work on the new Hollywood film 'Knockout', directed by Steven Soderbergh of 'Traffic' and 'Ocean's 11' fame is now complete. We were asked to analyse over ten different rooftops in Dublin's city centre with a view to desiging safe working platforms for heavy camera equipment, crew and actors. Work was carried out for our client, Somerset Productions, who are responsible for all the film's shooting in Ireland. Filming is due to move on to Barcelona later this month with a release date this autumn - see he

1/11/09 - November is MOvember at MO'Connor Design!
For the month of November we are proudly supporting and raising funds for Movember, a drive to raise awareness of prostate cancer in Ireland and around the world. October 2009 - Early this year we were involved in the Women's Mini Marathon Event, specifically the Health & Safety aspect of all of the temporary structures on the course. September 2008 - O’Connor Design has been appointed as Consulting Engineers to oversee temporary structures on the 2009 Dublin Women’s Mini Marathon. Over 40000 women take part in the mini marathon each year and raise an enormous amount of money for charities throughout Ireland. April 2008 - PLAN magazine published an article in the March 2008 edition of one of our recent projects, the new Sushi King takeaway on Baggot St. Designed by Lynch Architects, this small unit packs a fully equipped kitchen for daily preparation of food, staff toilet, serving counter and display area.
